AndyF was just out last Friday and we went to McLellan for a few hours before his flight left. (this is Andy's third time there) I told Andy that I would like to have a Get Together for McLellan Rocks. I live 20 mins from McLellan and would open up my home for a place to camp and party. I have five arces, I'd brew some Beer have the fire wood, water and bring in a PP. What I would like to know is... would you Guys and Gals from the other side of the Cascade crest come over and do some Pitches with us. That would also go's for the rest of the CC.com Climbers. This would have to happen by the end of September or the first weekend October. We can have some Great Weather in Spokane about then. What do you think, would you be in?

Of corse Arden nailed it on the head. Theres just one thing I would like to add... The routes are not setup to be toprope (or with out leading them first) there are no bolts on top of most of the cliffs. This how "I" would like to see McLellan stay. If you need to set up topropes (first) Minne is all ready for that, so is Post Falls. But if you like the sharp end of a cord, McLellan Rocks is just the place! Have Fun

Steve, I'm also sorry for the way things turned out, and I was wrong in taken the stand that I did. If I can Help in anyway at all call me. (drill, studs, hangers) I can't speak for Marty but he's been know to set a route or two in his day and could be a great help in placeing new studs. Again; I regret Helping spin this thread out of control. Theres more to the Spokane that just Spray! We just don't post it.

I have hair!! Thanks Mr.P

That do you think Crap like that rolls from me like shit in the AM. I think not

I would be the First one to stand up and say I did it and I would be the last one to go out and do it. I have been called a lot of things over a lot of years and "Bolt Cop" was never one.
-
Steve, If you can't remember what we talked about, that would be my point. You don't care what I have to say about McLellan, so why should we/they care what you have say about anything. You say they are needed bolts and should be there, I say your wrong and there just up there for the weak sauce that can't set up there own Belays/Anchors for a TR or a rappel. Know one leads out at Minne and if they do it's after topropeing the route many, many times. I say you teach them how to do it right and then let Darwin do the rest. I don't mean to be a Ass it is just who I am. "A ASS"

Steve, I thought you were the New Bolt Cop? It's about time someone cleaned the top off of all that Crap! We talked about this once, it was out at McLellan and it was those very bolts and why they were there in the first place (Sport Rappelers). Last time I was climbing out at Minne was the last time Paul Fish gave a rats ass about the Climbers in Spokane! I'm sure He will give you more Hangers. Cost + 10 Good Luck

Andy, I can meet you at Marcus on the 11th or the 12th. I think DonnyBaker should be the rope gun, I swear to God he should be. Call me.
-
I thought they spell it like "Kottenai Klimer Koalition" or KKK for short.
-
Donny, Let me guess... you got into climbing because you have stolen gear from jacking cars for cigs.

Clip missing at Deep Creek (The Pit)
Roadstead1 replied to Roadstead1's topic in Central/Eastern Washington
Let me start by saying; If you did not know me already I can be a real Ass. (something I have learned to live with) I might have been a little over the top calling all you guys out there Tools, your not all Tools only 10% of you are. so forgive you guys. I did not start this out as a Witch Hunt. If I hurt your feelings Mr. Alter ego(s) then (I just wonder who you some of you local boys are?) get over it. Although; I do think a real name along with a username adds a little bit of creditably to your post, with out that certain (most people have there names) creditably your just adding more spray in another over used Chat Room. I have replaced the hanger and stud, If this a true ramdon act then this thread is over. -
Clip missing at Deep Creek (The Pit)
Roadstead1 replied to Roadstead1's topic in Central/Eastern Washington
As a climber theres no big deal, as a route setter is were I have the trouble. These routes have been up for all most ten years now and have seen hundreds ascents as they stand. Why then some Tool roles in and thinks "I din't need this clip so I'll take off." I know damn well that this is what it's all about. This is not some random act done by non-climbers with the help of a branch. I will replace the stud and hanger and hope it stops there. Get a clue if it has studs on it already it's not a First Ascent. -

Have we meet before? I don't know anybody by the name of bigbro. -
I was out at Deep Creek last week at the Pit and got on The Pit Lizard and the first clip was missing.(hanger gone stud beaten in)I can't for the life of me figure out why some Climber would act like a Tool and think this is a good thing? If there's a good reason maybe you can help me see thru the darkness of your act and into empty space in your head.

Hell's Canyon is one of the best unkown crags, I have aver been too.

If two years makes you a outcast, then 25 years must make me a Lepra! Being a member dose't make you a good climber! My edited remark was uncalled for.

Nice Job Dane, Editing your posts so you don't look like a ASS. Back in the 80's Dane was the one that started the local bolt wars at Dishman. Now he wants to start it all over again. For the one person that knows my name but not the man, I have set over 200 studs this year, I help make new climbing areas not old ones.

That's Funny Becose they acted like is was a Religion and not rock. I think they were glad that most climbers were gone for the weekend climbing. They had no one that could pitch a Bitch about what they were doing. It was just like the first meeting at REI Lies and Deception, He must of felt like GOD at the Crag with his 12 followers ready to do his will. I have never said that what had happen was good. But I will say that what was done on Sunday 26, was not good and now look what you have started! LET THE WAR BEGIN.

Lucky, I just did some of your routes at lava point very nice, good job Thanks

Come on Boys, I was at Chimney on Sunday the 4th did not make it to the top, weather was bad. But I'm sure your beloved Summit can is still there. It dose not take much bate to catch little fish.

Dane, What The Hell Is going on? I hear about this crap on the net. Then I see all this crap. You are talking Dishman Rocks. My God Dane Quit living in the Past, You Must have far better things to do, like getting back in climb shape and help me show these young studs that we can still pull very Hard. Fast is Still Safe and being old dose not mean over the hill
