Your other option is to get Fritschis (which ski well) and then climbing it AT boots, Scarpa Lazers are pretty damn good....

Well friend, prepare to be disappointed. After skiing in CO, UT WA, and MT, I visited back East and all I could think was, "How the hell do these resorts stay open?" well, people are desperate. Whiteface and Mad River Glen and Attitash are all worth a drive. Otherwise, short nasty icy runs....

Bluewater makes a marker specifically for this, it doesn't last forever, but works well. They supposedly did significant research and control the manufacture closely (dyes, binders, solvents, etc).

Whenever I hear "trick" and "rapping" in close proximity, I get the heebies. It's dangerous enough, why futz around with slick setups? I supose they are good to know for emergency (I just dropped a rope, etc) situations, but.... I'd rather stack that deck in my favor as much as possible. just my piddly $0.03

dude, if you haven't been to Laramie (which I'll assume from your post), take a little road trip before you even think about moving there. BTW, Ft. Collins is very cool, and not Boulder-ized (yet).... and close to lots and lots of good outdoors shit-
