Of course I was being reactionary. I was reacting specifically to JoshK's statement that Bush took advantage of 9/11 and used it to "ram through" constrictive legislation. The implication being that a: he'd been dying for an opportunity to pass it, and b: (which is most likely true) that it wouldn't have passed without 9/11. I realize that most of the population, whether they think Bush is competent or not, whether they support him or not, and whether they like him or not, does not think that Bush has a secret diabolical agenda. I realize that most of his opponents just disagree with him, find him incompetent, or believe he is dishonest. I wasn't addressing them. I was specifically addressing JoshK's statement. You're points are seperate. I believe I read something about court oversight somewhere. I'll go look for it and address your points.

In all fairness, that 25 billion was also including supporting the troops in Afghanistan.

i have read it as well as listened to the 'nra in littleton' section in bfc (on moore's site). i personally do not find anything unethical about the editing. bfc does not change heston's message: "despite the mayor asking us not to come here, we are here because it's our right". sure, he does not have the entire speech, but then again, bfc is not meant to be an nra platform. editing of this kind (chopping up of interviews) is common practice in docu making as well as news. it is not unethical as long as the message is not changed, and bfc does not change heston's message. you are really making a mountain out of mole hill. bfc DOES change Heston's message by splicing two seperate speeches and alluding they are the same. Then takes it a step further by insinuating a speech given a year previously was in fact given right after 9/11. I understand you unable to dispute the facts I raised, so you must continue to ignore them. Feel free to admit you're heads up your ass and bow out of the conversation anytime. It's getting to be SOP with you.

I think he does. It's evident Kerry can't make ANY decision, though, let alone the best one. If decision making is your prequal for who you're supporting as POTUS, that must mean you're voting for Bush.

None of the examples you cited fabricated or manipulated the facts to achieve a political agenda. Moore did. Have you read a single link ANYONE has posted? All most all of them CLEARLY point out where he lied, manipulated, or distorted facts. Refusing to look at and acknowledge the proof doesn't give you a free pass to keep saying it doesn't exist. Whether it's good or not is a matter of taste. However, it's still fiction.

Yes, the Bush administration sits around plotting to absolutely screw the public whenever they think they can accomplish it. In fact, they were ecstatic that 9-11 took place, because it gave them a great excuse to take away all our rights, lower taxes, and invade peace loving nations. Here you go.

It does look like Kerry changed his opinion numerous times. Most often it didn't take 20 years, though. Generally it changed to the polar opposite within a few weeks or months. Lately, it seems that it's just changed to I don't give a shit. If you still can't tell What Bush is "for" look here, but you'd better hurry, Kerry's is changed daily.
