The BD factory does batch test, but I don't think they test each piece. MEC--I don't remember seeing them test each piece, but I do remember batch tests. Do you remember something different? The tensile rating is for the maleability of the metal-and each rating should be applicable for its corresponding piece. MEC--Help out here-what would Big Bill say here?

I like using a single dynamic line for hauling also--it can serve as an emergency lead line as well. There is no rule that you have to use a static line. I think the only rule to hauling is that after you get to the top of the first pitch, you kick the pig and swear at it to celebrate.

True. I have been reading the Civil War Almanac by Commager. The politics during the time of that war and Lincoln were unbelievable, worse that modern day. All the same issues, all the same political parties and players, all the same shit. (Interestingly, of course, was that the Democrats at the time were pro-Slavery.) These things we gripe about have been around for at least 150 years, if not from the very birth of this nation. The Democratic Party at that time was the "white man's party". The Republicans had split from the Whig party and were the movers and the shakers. History class sucks. History books rock--you'll get addicted to them.
