  1. you being a proud Dane, I'm surprised there's no mention of one of the finest bass-players, Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen. I'm not big into jazz.
  2. You mean, like this guy? The soprano sax is in the same catagory as the harpsicord. Irritating at best.
  3. Where's Cliff? Over the edge.
  4. Why didn't they just buy that ugly piece of shit that was sitting under the Aurora brige forever and a day?

Ah...in my defense the stuff I pointed you at is high, dry, and in one piece. You'd be archy's neighbor though, long wade out to the grocery store. I kill and eat my neighbors to avoid the walk.

If you are referring to my pics, they are all taken from the Index Galena road. I have more that are right next to (and still east of) the big bridge into Index that show some incredible tree pile-ups.

yep. There are two 1/5 mile sections washed out like that. There are some cool asphalt edged waterfalls. The salmon are actually spawning now in some of the shallow beds where the road used to be. I'll take some pics if I catch the buggers at it this week.

Going home in Index is a pretty fun trip after the floods, so I thought I'd show a quick update. My efforts begin with a well-planned idea to drag my bike through the river so I can avoid walking the last couple of miles in my waders. In my backpack is my cowering dog. We see a cool Kodak moment type photo opportunity and seize the shot The road gets a little funky after a while And then just sorta goes away At this point, my dog starts getting a little freaked out Fortunately, my man doesn't. He decides to take this opportunity to make an FA on a brand new boulder problem That being done, we carry on to where the yellow brick road starts up again Oh, by now, I've ditched the bike and figured that walking a few miles in waders is easier than dragging that fucker through hell and back. Eventually, the water will recede enough to make the bike thing easier. Anyone who wants to come by for a Thanksgiving visit is more than welcome. You'll have to chop some wood though.
