  1. I think using the word hooey takes self confidence. I like it.
  2. That is funny is a sad, dark way.
  3. The Dutch are instituting a test for citizenship that includes questioning a person's basic values (i.e. are they tolerant of other belief systems or not, that sort of thing). I support that. I can't understand why ultra-conservative Muslims would move to the most liberal country ever and then want to force everyone to bow to their way. Fuck em.
  4. Classic. Did you ask them if they were planning to recycle the bag when done?
  5. I believe it is within our rights to carry a gun and to use it when lives are in danger. This man should not have shot the dog walker three times in the chest. I agree that shooting the dog that was threatening him would have been justifiable. But shooting an unarmed man who has not attacked you is, indeed, homicide.
  6. Fishing regs where/what I fish requires barbless hooks.
  7. Dru, I have "Hedonist" under my name at work--you hit the nail on the head with that one.
  8. Hey cc.com nerds; I have a buddy who is looking to hire the above. He is the owner of Coure Creative and a great guy (we've been friends for 15 years and he has always been kind, honest, and dependable). If you are interested, PM me and I'll hook you up. A Job Description: Things are starting to roll here at Coeur Creative. And we are starting to look for someone who can help us manage our growing list of Web development projects. Currently we use Basecamp (http://basecamphq.com/) as our project management software and we have started to implement Kelly Goto's (http://www.web-redesign.com/) workflow strategy. We are looking for someone to really take the reigns and ownership of implementing (and customizing) this strategy. If this person can code/develop also, that would be great, but not necessary. Ideally this position would be on a contract basis. Currently Coeur Creative does not have an office. We work as a team, but from remote locations. The ideal candidate should thrive in this situation.
  9. What? Just imagine... creating integrity constraints just by tracing a line between two tables. Add voice recognition software and you could even combine the UI technology with verbal commands - create index, primary key, add check constraint. Or within an IDE, dragging and dropping JSF, Swing, or (retch) ASP.NET components. Using your fingers to resize elements on Class or ER diagrams, or borders for UI components. Sweet! Be careful there, you might turn archy on!! Funny enough, while I was reading that post I figured I'd respond with "I'm wet", but you already saw that coming.
  10. That is sooooo beautiful!!!!Very nice!
  11. Download the new Daylight Savings patch from Microsoft. May fix it.
  12. It was good seeing ya'll last night. Happy B-day Kellie! And I just want to say for the record that I pwn your ass in Air Hockey.

    Jealousy over here.
  22. You mean like post on a useless thread? Good idea.
  23. It is so amazing to hear stories of what the generation before us accomplished. It is also sort of humbling--it's easy to think we are such groundbreakers. But on the other hand, it is comforting to know that we are following in someone else's footsteps. Thanks for the congrats; I wish I were actually good at the tying, but maybe with another thirty years experience I may be able to produce something worth a bite
  24. How do I "invoke" the ignore user option? Does it still exist with this version? Thanks for your help.
  25. That is so incredibly cool! You know, there are a lot of great artisan-types who can fix that rod for you. The owner of All About the Fly in Monroe is a good guy who is very knowledgeable. He can help you out. I'd even bring it in for you if you are not going to be up that way--I love going to that shop!
