just look at the kid, and think "what if my s.o. thought of him as an 'it', a zygote, a mistake, non-human, or 'inconvenient'". Seems hypocritical to me. Could be. But hey, at least I am consistent! Under certain conditions, I am able to accept war, death penalty, and abortion. Oh, and hunting. Top that. quit arguing with me! I want to pick on Kevboner! Don't know who yer talking about.

Oh, and when she does get tested for the specific allergens she can have shots specifically designed for her. It is generally a series of three and is required every season. Then, you don't have the constant pill thing.
-
They know what causes allergies--an abnormal histimine reaction. They can only test for specific allergens. This involves a great number of shots and is uncomfortable. Why do that to a kid? You can always do it later--the allergies will still be there. And allergies are not inherited. Whether family members have them or not is immaterial. I think if you do a little more research on the subject--starting a dialogue here is a great way to get people's experiences but actually reading more med stuff on it may help you be more at peace with her limited options.

What? My shirt isn't good enough. BW has nothing on Hitler. Nothing.

There is no law regarding what you say, as far as general elections are concerned. Are you thinking of the primaries? Ok…..so what about the primaries? I have always viewed primaries as the voters of each party's chance to select their candidate. Based on that, it has always made sense, to me, to have Republicans voting in Republican Primaries and Democrats voting in Democratic Primaries. I am sure that those voting as 'Independents' can vote in the primary of their choice. No one is impeding your right to vote, dude. To the best of my knowledge, there are accomodations available for those who consider themselves 'independent.' Soon, you will regret that you ever answered one of his questions with knowledge, logic, and thought.

I'll bet it is. And it just warms my heart whenever I see a guy lugging around his kid. It's so cool to see the way a dad and his kid look at each other. Makes me all melty inside. But, that same dad can be at peace with the fact that abortion is legal.

Funny you mention the allergy pills--I was just talking about that in the other thread. If her allergies are bad enough (and not seasonal) then yes, it may be the rest of her life. And if they are bad enough, you may shorten her life if you don't let her take them. And you cannot remove allergens from your environment that easily, unless you stay in the same environment and don't let anyone in.
-
I would. But only if you'll wear my Hitler World Tour shirt.
-
But not knowing what the primaries are is inexcusable.

Hey now, he can be a dad and still think it is okay for others to take legal steps to abort if they don't want to be a dad.

I don't know, but I would think that the 9 months of carrying it, giving birth to it, and hearing it cry would change some minds pretty quickly. Again, I don't know from personal experience, but I'm thinking it probably happens.
-
No, I have anti-whatchacallit I carry with me. I have one other thing that causes a pretty good scare, but not as bad as WT. Oh, and I once had a reaction in an airport that was scary and embarrassing. You soon learn to carry medicine with you wherever you go.

Yeah, but that base player who always does that strange little dance drives me crazy. He always starts with wiggling the one arm, then the second, then his legs, and before you know it, he's bopping around in place. Then, thankfully, he stops. But then the arms starts up again. Makes me nuts. Never noticed. Sure beats that little bitch of a lead singer for Cradle of Filth. Dani has some issues. But underneath it all, I bet he's a really nice guy.

I am telling you that one small sip of Wild Turkey sends me to the hospital because I stop breathing. So, I do consider that a bad experience.

And before it gets mentioned, the adoption thing is great. But it also assumes that females are merely incubators and can give up their babies. I'm not sure how people who get all riled up and can't even give up someone else's baby could tell a birth mother to give up hers with such ease. Not only that, she wouldn't then "pay the consequences" that ya'll mentioned that some gal who dares engage in sex should rightly have to pay.
-
That's a fact of biology but the equation doesn't change just because the terms are inequitable. The other 50% should own up to their responsibilities and pay the suitable consequences...at least 18 years worth in this society. This ignores the stigma that goes with being a single mother, especially if young. It also ignores the young women who get booted from their parents homes when their folks find out. It ignores that often a girl's options suddenly get severly limited when she finds herself pregnant. Her chances of going to college, getting a good paying job, experiencing normal social development, etc etc drop precipitously. Some guy paying $400/month for 18 years hardly equals these situations.

I've been meaning to try it, but have read mixed reviews on it. Eventually I'd like to. Unfortunately our crappy state liquor stores don't sell many of these in 50 ml sizes. Those are a great way to try something. I've tried several that way. You can special order, but, if the store doesn't think they can sell the item, YOU have to buy a whole case yourself. I just went to Lombardis and had a little along with a bit of Angel Del Morte. I was a treasure the next day I'll tell you.

With the WT, I'd lose it right away. I am deathly allergic to that and always wondered why that drink triggers an anaphelactic shock (with one tiny stinkin sip) and no other that I have tried does this. Any thoughts?

Your perspective is nicely-stated. The hypocritic behavior of the messenger shouldn't automatically dismiss the message. For example, I find nothing wrong with a raging alcoholic or drug-addict discouraging others from drinking, etc. or otherwise repeating mistakes. Good example!

That's so sad to hear. It's a bummer that people who take pride in their home (seriously, no pun intended) get penalized like that. I have never gotten into fixing up the outside of my house, so the front yard looks like shit. The house itself doesn't look that great. People are always surprised when they come inside that it doesn't look white trash on the inside as well. Sad to say, part of this is on purpose. I always kind of home someone would be less willing to break into a place that doesn't look very spiffy. Bummer on stuff getting stolen from anywhere around your home though--it doesn't get much more personal feeling than that!

I been playing too. The latest one I tried was "Bullet". Very interesting. Smelled Maple in it, but couldn't taste it. Have you ever tried this one? It's a very curious experience.
