  7. A guy by the name of Russ from Spokane has put up over 100 new routes down there. The pictures look fantastic.
  8. mike m is correct in the fact that Sport Schuster is a huge retailer. They are one of the oldest still operating stores in Germany. The "ASMU Pickel Garantie" is just a gaurentee on the pick by an older governing body, similiar to UIAA.
  9. Minx, Check your pm's. I think I can help get you out climbing this weekend.
  10. Check your PM's.
  11. I used to live in Portland, and I think in 92 or 93 we had an awesome winter where lots of climbs got done in the Gorge. There was a report of one party climbing it that winter. We did a four pitch flow just to the right of the main waterfall, hidden in the picture on this thread. I will see if I can find some old photos of it. Crazy route, just kind of ended in a long patch of frozen moss, dirt, and shitty basalt/rubble. Got to be lowered off to the top of the last pitch with a russian version of a spectre pound in.
  12. I was not out there this weekend, as I was in Ouray but was told by Matt that they he had been out at Banks all weekend, and that things were in okay.
  13. No, flying out there tonight with a group of friends from the office. It probably will be too busy to get in much climbing, but we are looking to demo out a new tool or two. After last weekend at Banks Lake, my first visit there, I wish I could just go there again!
  14. Anyone from the Pacific Northwest headed to the Ouray Ice Fest this week?
  15. Climber leading the Cable was Greg Rehn from Spokane. The OP guys have to test gear somewhere! He also lead the two routes next to Even Cowgirls Get The Blues as a warm up (Not that anyone needed to get warm yeaterday, it was near 40ish)
  16. Yes, I have checked with a few of them. Not a whole lot of information to date. No big deal. I will drive up in the morning to check things out.
  17. Has anyone been up to Gilbralter Wall the climbs up near Canal Flats in BC? Does anyone have any information on Bull River Canyon?
  18. I just bought a couple of new pairs through Sierra Trading Post. Check them out.
  19. Thanks for all the posts and the beta. Received my copy of Washington Ice, and am impressed. Looks like I will have to drive a bit this winter. Went to Indian Canyon yesterday and this morning before work, and did a couple laps. Lots of fun, 5 minutes from the office! Life is good. Anyone that ever needs a partner over there for a lunch session drop me a line. Pindude; Thanks for all your help. By the way, say hi to your dad for me. He worked on my son a bit this summer when he needed a bone marrow biopsy. An outstanding doctor and person. Tell him James still thinks he is okay, even after all the needles he stuck in him! Gary
  20. Thanks to those who have posted. I do have a copy of this guide on order, and should have it Monday. I was actually hoping for someone else of like mind that may have already been out looking for something to climb and had found somehting that looked promising! I will keep checking back. Thanks again.
  21. Hi group. Just moved to Spokane, and am interested in finding out if there is any ice forming within a couple hours drive time. It has been fairly cold here for the last few days, with more cold weather coming, so I was hoping to be doing some climbing in the next week or so.
