Sherri, forgot to mention too--this is your first trip up this season, right? New running trails have been put in. The 3 miler around the campground is new gravel and wider, Dave and I ran on it and it's lovely. It's part of a much longer regional trail that is being put together

Sherri, thanks, if Tues forecast looks good, I will drive up Monday and would love half a day with you if you're still there. If it doesn't look good, I'll drive up Tuesday and get some non-climbing stuff done and hope Wed and Thurs are climbable. Canadug, thanks too. I can't climb earlier than Tues but if that day is good weather and I climb with Sherri in the AM, I'd be up for climbing with you in the afternoon if you're free. I'll keep watching the forecast and stay in touch with both of you.

That'd be fabulous, Sherri. I'll wait to hear from you! Just so you know though, the forecast calls for 30% few showers on Mon-Tues, but dry on Wed-Thurs. That's why I posted for the latter 2 days. But last time Dave and I were up, we climbed just fine on a couple of days predicted to have 30% showers.

Hi, I'm looking for a partner 6/10-11, and maybe Tues 6/9 if the weather's good. I have rope and gear and am very familiar with Squamish, follow to low 10s, and lead 7's, some 8's. Open to following or leading or both. I'm safe and looking for the same, though must confess I don't prefer crack-of-dawn starts. Mostly, just looking for some enjoyable climbing while the weather is nice. Trang

Ok, I just looked up my journal notes. Here's some more beta: Day 1 we messed around at Cinque Torre Grande, a good warm up area. 5 minutes hike from the hut. There's a moderate 4-pitch climb and good singles. The next day we did another multi-pitch on Torre Grande West Summit, called Via Delle Guide. We also got on Piccolo Lagazuoi but rapped down after 3 pitches due to weather. Another great multi was the 6-pitch Torre Piccolo on Falzarego Towers. The Hexenstein I mentioned earlier is 6 pitches. The single pitches we did on the last day are at the base of the Hexenstein. Enjoy!

Austin, I had a fabulous time there in 2002, for a week. My friend and I took the train and bus from Venice, and came in through Cortina. We did room & board at a couple of the mountain "huts" (they're cushy for huts!). The routes I recall doing were the Hexenstein, one of the Lagazuois, a 3rd I don't recall, and a day of single-pitch. Great moderate multi fun. Trang

Looking to enjoy a little more of the sunshine tomorrow before it goes away. I could steal away from work for 4 to 5 hours in the late morning or afternoon. Given the timeframe, probably exit 38 would work best. Anyone interested?

Hi Michael, Welcome to Seattle! I live here, and plan to go up to Squamish the first 3 weekends in September and may be looking for a partner (have a potential partner but not confirmed yet). I've only got those weekends though, so not exactly a stretch of 5 or 10 consecutive days. Let me know if you end up looking for a partner those weekends and good luck with your move!
