90% not gay....what a relief "You are part of the foundation and fabric of the CMC" What the hell does that mean?

Dude, I guess that's what you get for being a med student I only have four finals this week, three on the same day though (which licks the sweaty nutsack). I can't touch your marathon day since I've only been studying since 9 this morning. My biggest bitch is the multiple page proofs I keep getting stuck doing: verify the Divergence Theorem for a volume that looks like a penis where the vector field blows shit in your face, blah blah blah. Green, Maxwell, Stokes et al can kiss my ass . One more week and it's spring break

You aren't still pissed James cut his hair are you? I would agree that the quality of music on Load and Reload wasn't anywhere near as good as the Black album, but they still had a few good tracks. They get a lot of radio play of their old stuff as well. Does that mean all of that sucks ass too? I guess I don't get it, because I think they still put on one helluva show. I am pissed about the asshole that threw up on the back of my leg when they opened with Blackened. I also wonder about the woman who brought her 8-10 year old daughter down on the floor; she's my nomination for parent of the year.

I did. I climb mainly 5.1-5.6 with lots of aid! Besides, that's the wingman's job: jump on the grenade.

I don't know dude, I think the 15 million or so people who bought the black album might disagree. Besides, they still play their "old stuff" : blackened; one; harvester of sorrow; battery; master of puppets; sanitarium; hit the lights; and for whom the bell tolls are the ones I remember from last night. They still play a lot from Kill 'em All and Ride the Lightning, if that's your thing. Between the last 2 shows in SanFran they've played everything good from both. Anyway, I stood no more than 30 feet from the stage and from my vantage they

Any NorCal folks here see the Godsmack-Metallica show at Arco last night? They still "kick maximum ass."

First Ascent of Nasty Crystal: A definite 5.1R A6+. After avoiding a couple of bolt-choppers trying to crowd my route, I did a little bouldering. The route then required me to free-solo a section of slab climbing . It was either that or end up going alpine . Ended up with a clean ascent of Grade 2 with nice 3 finger crack system. Narrowly avoided serious aid fall a couple of times . Quickly rapped off to avoid anything beyond a free sport climb.

Pickets are much stronger when tied in the middle and placed as deadmen than when pulled from one end in traditional "picket" placement 2200 years after Archimedes formed the law of levers, someone just figured this out? Earth shattering!

The Sierra Club has a couple of "photographs" in the lodge that purport to show the shadow of Jesus standing on the summit. One is an image of a shadow with its hand raised to the sky and a halo over its head. Very strange indeed.

Well, I can't actually call it a "trip report" considering we didn't go above Horse Camp. It is still too early in the season for climbing this route. I went up at the end of last week with a couple of buddies and got shut down. Two of us didn't have snowshoes (not too bright) so we just got bogged down with knee high post-holing. It didn't matter though because the wind blew all night, loading already unconsolidated and unstable southern aspects. Basically, the trip sucked. I'll be keeping my eyes open for a week long high pressure system in January/February to give it another shot. On the upside, it was nice to decompress a little after finals... whew! Skiing/boarding conditions are perfect right now for those who are interested. They have been getting new snow for the past couple of days and expect another 2-5 feet over the next couple of days.

Thanks for the info. I got a pretty good deal on the jacket (there is no way I could afford retail for it!), I just wasn't sure about its performance and I won't be able to test it out for quite a few weeks. Thanks again.

Anyone have this jacket or know someone who does? Opinions/experiences good, bad, or ugly?
