They busted the guy at the store using the card, but charged him for assault, as he threatened to assault the cashier after she confronted him about the card. They didn't even confiscate the card. He probably still has it laying around his house somewhere.

Sounds like a credible claim, to me. I imagine used adult diapers are truly sick. Not covered under Medicare. Diapers are considered bundled DME supplies.

I saw a medical claim for used adult diapers once. Must have been a typo, or people getting desperate with medicare.

We got a lead, we know who did it, the cops know who did it. They said they dont have time to do any more with it. It may not even go to court.

Send pictures and video to the newspaper, stuff like that. ...get shot. I've already been shot. These people probably have pawned their own guns, if they even have any. I'm not worried.

I thought of doing a stakeout a while ago, but I spent the nice days climbing, not watching parking lots from a bush. However, I have more motives to sit in a bush now. I would really like to catch someone red-handed then follow them for the rest of the day to annoy the crap out of them.

I've had 9/16 mil spec almost compleltly severe do to rubbing and sharp edges after one use. This was used on make-shift aiders and hook ties. I avoid using it except for utility purposes. I've rapped off the stuff through a bolt when retreating(wimping out) on a route before, but I wouldn't use it around a tree or rock as friction and pressure may severe it, even on one use. I think the climbing spec is ok for whatever.

Additionally, the police know who broke into our car and cleared our accounts a month ago, but they are doing NOTHING about it becaue they don't have the time. Anyone have any advice about that?

A local officer told me that don't have the resources to really dig into stuff like this. The thieves know this. Is it just going to get worse and worse then? There must be a better way to deal with this. In Bellingham it's probably a certain group of people that do this regularly. It seems that money would be saved if they just put in some more hours and caught them, then to deal with all the calls and follow-ups.

I've fallen on some of the old bolts there. The routes are good and you use whats there to climb them. When you consider some of the runouts(50 feet, whole pitches) in the NW, a few manky bolts is nothing. People used to regularly climb in hiking boots with Goldline rope and hip belays runout above manky pitons. Plus, you climb better above old bolts. Gives you focus.

yeah, it sounds fishy. However, she should get her money back if they can't prove it's drug money. I would press charges of theft against the officier.

... having our cars being broken into. My truck was broken into yesterday at Heather Meadows. No valuables were in sight. They busted the back hatch off my canopee. I will most likely have to buy a new canopee. Between me and my wife, we've had our cars broken into four times in the last year. Two of these were at trailheads. I'm getting sick of these weasly cowards.

Sure does. What scares them even more is if you stop and stare at them until they pass. However, I haven't quite mustered the courage for this approach. Another thing that's fun to do is instead of saying "hi" or "hello" is to say something a little different and see if they say the same thing back. Like "howdy", "greetings" or just a random word. If they repeat you, they are likely nervous.

I agree. I like to take a chunk of parmesan to nibble on. It's really satisfying.
