wow...i seldom find myself agreeing with Bill but this time I do. Don't build on my farmland. It'd be nice however to not go bankrupt trying to permit a small house on my acreage but that's another story. i live in the sticks (sort of). it was a calculated decision. while my commute is not short, i have shortened it considerably over the years. i continually evaluate my options for mass transit which suck at this point but appear to be improving. i live where i do and commute to job so i don't have to drive as far to go play and run my small business. how far and how often do you drive after work to go pursue your hobbies? as for living in the city, i suppose i could. i suppose i'd go nuts too.

And HUGE thanks for returning to your "standard" stash of avatars. wow i didn't know there was a problem w/coulouir's standard avatars. hmmmm. i look forward to the ever changing variety of interesting pics he uses. Can’t imagine how they’d be a problem at work? Sherri, that’s an absolutely amazing creation. 

ummm people, get over yourselves. this is a climbing site. spray isn't going away. it'll be right there for all of us naughty sprayers. the idea is to keep the climbing portion of the site more readily accessible to those who aren't here to spray. and really, whats wrong w/more climbing talk? sure there's more posts in spray than anywhere else. that's b/c of the diversity of topics. how much can we really talk about climbing all day every day? don't worry, its envitable new posters to the site will find spray. its hard to avoid. you'd think somebody took your favorite toy away.

rumr--i believe you have a skier in the family no? he just started climbing again....finally. maybe snowboarding is a gateway drug to sport climbing and he'll never do an alpine route w/me?

i have never had to deal with the immigration office in this country but know plenty to who have. Every single one of them has complained not about the requirements to get a green card but rather the epic amounts bureaucracy and misinformation provided to them. These have led to long delays and near deportation in some cases. I know one couple who eventually got so tired of the hastle that they bothe emigrated to canada where it was easier for both of them to gain legal residency than it was for him to stay here.
