  1. Nice adventure there, Dan. Both of those routes require very judicious timing for ski conditions.
  2. I want to hear from this guy again. For winter on Rainier your chosen window of dates sure struck the lotto!
  3. I just want to see this guy: Other than that, Fuck all y'all!

  5. I'll preface this with a disclaimer about my economic ignorance, but I read a long article on nytimes.com a few weeks ago about how the managers would push the guys doing the modeling until the models returned the answers they desired. Garbage in, garbage out.
  6. Palmer was epic last Sunday. It started icy but warmed into perfection.

  12. I remember seeing the announcements about that grant. Glad to see that someone put it to good use. That looked pretty sweet.
  13. I was on Hood the same day. I had ice forming in the toe pieces on my boots many times. In this scenario, you must remove the ice from the toe pieces on your boots. Sorry you lost your ski. That's a tough way to learn that lesson.
  14. We also hit the summit, slightly later in the day, with lots more adventure on the way.
  15. I love that route.

  17. They opened the gate to depravity http://www.turns-all-year.com/skiing_snowboarding/trip_reports/index.php?topic=9990.0 Beautiful day up there, eh Hendershot?
  18. Sick. Rappelling on flimsy tele gear, no less. I bet Ross would've been into that....
  19. It's significantly more difficult than Sherpa, but it's absolutely classic.
  20. Somehow my skis got left in my yard on Friday night, making for a frustrated Saturday. Yesterday we got stopped by blank slabs and rotten snice about halfway up the runnels. The first pitch was really fun ice, though. The snow was way too sloppy anyway. Next time....
  21. Nobody's calling dibs. It's just fair warning. Would you want someone skiing above you... ?
  22. One, be careful as the weeks progress and don't fall in the lake like an idiot when it starts to melt. Two, inside sources reveal that there may be an elevated objective hazard on Triple Couloirs tomorrow, Saturday, 26 April 2008. Climbers please steer clear. Your friend for public safety, skykilo
  23. I got some beta. Dudes won't be stoked if you try to dry-tool the Louvre, John.
