  1. I have a ready solution for independent political messaging: corporations don't have free speech; they don't have the rights of people. End of story.
  2. you jumped the shark so one swift boater or one corp funding a candidate or one issue against a candidate funded by thousands or more is a level playing field? you suck!
  3. Any questions?

  5. Michael Moore starts talking at 0:50 (after Obama's speech) [video:youtube]q-Ja63pX1lY
  6. It's a fair fight for the two-wings of the corporate party, but not for anybody else. It's not a question of messaging for Democrats, it's a question of doing. In particular, making sure their constituencies don't pay for this crisis while the banksters get away with the loot.
  7. I didn't hear him but what I got from reading a blurb: more civility, more bi-partisanship, and the part I thought stunk more than the rest was the bit about how people were understandably concerned by government over-reaching into their lives because of the bail outs. Not a mention of how people could have instead been miffed by the disparate treatments given to wall street and main street (i.e. not enough reaching by government in to the problems of main street)
  8. Good idea to hang around. You're next!
  9. I disagree with just about everything you said. Just to think you are supposed to be one of the good guys is simply frightening. Fortunately most Dems I know aren't like you.
  10. Still, I must say that I do appreciate the irony of being accused of 'purity' by a historical document fetishist.
  11. I don't care what you do or not. It doesn't matter to me.
  12. as I already told you, I'll repeat myself as often as needed. So you dodging the issues isn't going to make it go away.
  13. sheer necessity like dodging what you can't answer?
  14. instead of behaving like a child why don't you answer my post about how being "pure" for you is equivalent to refusing to sacrifice 100k's people for resources, torture, rendition, etc .. All issues that you claim are dear to you but somehow when we try to hold congressional Dems accountable, you accuse us of 'purity' as if it were damning.
  15. They spent 70% of the stimulus so far Exactly what I said. NO! You just said they didn't spend the money without specifying they had already spent 70% of it because you had no fucking idea. You are only regurgitating what you hear on the Fox propaganda network. If the pool of money available at the start had been significantly greater, more diverse job creating programs could have been considered. I don't think this needed to be said except for your pretending to be as dumb as a stump. You are a troll and a waste of time.
  16. More unsubtantiated Fox talking points. They spent 70% of the stimulus so far, a fair amount which was requested by the very same regressive who opposed it in congress: "Opposition to the Obama administration’s economic-stimulus package didn’t stop at least 24 congressional Republicans from lobbying the Department of Energy on behalf of companies and constituents who wanted stimulus contracts and grants from it. Reps. Jo Bonner of Alabama, Dan Lungren of California, Doug Lamborn and Mike Coffman of Colorado, Lynn Westmoreland, Jack Kingston and Nathan Deal of Georgia, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Fred Upton, Vernon Ehlers, Thaddeus McCotter, Candice Miller and Pete Hoekstra of Michigan, Jim Jordan and Michael Turner of Ohio, Joe Wilson of South Carolina, Phil Roe and Zach Wamp of Tennessee and Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington along with Sens. Mike Crapo of Idaho, Sam Brownback of Kansas and Lamar Alexander and Bob Corker of Tennessee and Bob Bennett of Utah wrote to Energy Secretary Steven Chu and top Energy Department officials asking them to consider particular recipients for stimulus dollars in 2009."
  17. The electorate disagrees with your assignment of shared responsibility. You must mean ~25% of the potential electorate.
  18. How did Barry and D's do on that issue, libtard? Not very well, even though the stimulus probably prevented a couple % points in unemployment; however, remember that Obama had to compromise heavily on the size and nature of the stimulus because conservatives were obstructing the bill at every opportunity, thereby severely decreasing its efficacy. Let us also remember that corporations are sitting on trillions in cash instead of investing in the economy, making it clear that only government can create jobs today even though regressives will keep doing everything they can to prevent the government from creating jobs. So, the obstructionism of the GOP is likely as much if not more to blame for the lack of job creation.
  19. Jobs was the number one issue for the mid-terms, not national debt. Get a clue.
  20. He doesn't even know the numbers, but it never stops him to regurgitate the lies. Just incredible!
  21. A coward and a liar!
  22. what are the numbers, jackass?
  23. Show us the numbers liar!
  24. don't blame him, that's what the attack ad said. Good enough for low information voters.
  25. Not sure what metric you're using there, genius. Denial isn't a river in Egypt, jackass
