the main problem today is that poeple do not accept responsibility for their actions.... people who climb should have this responsibility more than anyone else...yet we rely on rescues to get us out of uor self inflicted predicaments....i do not carry a cell phone or radio because i feel that i am self reliant and that is how it should be we should not endanger othes because of our incompetence and the risks associated with climbing must be realized and accepted when climbing if you cant accept the risk without having to drag innocent rescuers into the equation....you shouldn't be there.....TG....totally not your fault....we make our own choices and take the risks.....itis up to us to take responsibility for our own actions...

lets hope the steamer gets flushed....

tradgedy for sure...but what the hell was he thinking.....how was he gonna climb that without his gear.....and how would he have known what the heck he was gonna be skiing if he had never done the route ever let alone that day in those particular conditions.... sorry for the loss...but geesh he was asking for trouble....

PP- tell ya what....i am a far cry from a doctor.... i sell off anything i can to buy gear.... work for the sole purpose of climbing and i make $8 an hour.... i am a university student and every available dollar goes to climbing. i think that the majority of "climbers" are just guys who love climbing.... i just took a good sized fall on a blue....never thought they were worth their weight in tin before....but damn them suckers are the shit! bomber placements in those tight parallels....sweet climb though....

real climbers dont need 'tude to be well recognized and accepted by clmbers....they let their climbing speak for itself...twight could easily do this...but yet for some reason doesn't appear to think so.... mabe those eastern euros are putting a cramp in his style....
