golf gets really frustrating when drunk and gets expensive do to constant loss of golf balls.

bushwacking orienteering on saturday. skinned up hood on sunday and then laps on ze palmer. which is bloody excellent right now by the way. fresh snow everywhere. not very interesting as far as steeps go but very relaxing and beautiful cruising

Why yes, yes it is. As for St P's day, try giving a burly 3 hour practical mineralogy final until 9:45pm on st. patrick's day. To compensate, I went out afterwards and got trashed with some of my students. :beer: Heck, even needed it after that. Who schedules finals, anyways? you teach mineralogy? shudder...crystallography...shudder...XRD..Dana...I'm going into relapse!

exactly, ping-pong is the ultimate drunk pastime. foosball- too much injury potential. shuffleboard - for old folks on cruise ships.

but I do like walking around on the course if it is a nice one. glaze meadows course at black butte ranch in oregon being one of the best trips ever. try it! four!

I used to be a table tennis demon! Not quite like those guys on tv who get 20 feet from the table crank'n it, but nevertheless. As for golf that is despicable erik.

Mt Si. The Tragic Expedition

Mt Hood Meadows is having a great deal on alpine and backcountry gear. They have them sitting on a ski rack out by the lunch area. Usually the best selection is around noon, but I have found some real winners all day long.

also the coffee is not perking yet, this is more important.

I hate this holiday. In 2nd grade an annoying kid started teasing me for not wearing green and tried to pinch me. I punched him in the face and went home for ice cream.

going up an easy peak specifically to make fun of people who don't waste their entire useful lives climbing (and subsequently don't know all the details about how to be efficient, etc) strikes me as a bit odd.
