That's a nice article there Pete. I especially like the inflammatory, missive, tone: "The President will not . . . shall not . . . ALL WILL KNEEL TREMBLING BEFORE THE PRESIDENT." It's not that I take any issue with the pont of view, on the contrary, YOU'D BE A FHUHKIN MORON NOT TO SEE THAT ONE COMING. Here's why in an easy-to-follow schematic. Fell free to follow along at home kids:
  2. Coo Moe Dee I like the heli boycott thing

The real issue here is what kind of backass route you took to Smith? WTF 97? Jesus. I-5 to Greshem, Division street Hood driveby stright into Mudrus Seven point Five hours from the Starbucks on 4th to Pyramid Ale on the picnic table "in the round" at Winston Smith
  4. MEC Thor is just about the best deal around on a -25F/-30C winter bag. Though a Dryloft shell does obviously impede water transfer . . . The best scenario and the one I have been using in winter is something like a 0F bag with a dryloft/synthetic overbag. It's a bit more cramped than a big bag, but things stay quite dry in the down.

The funniest part of that site is at the bottom: "Yes Bush Can is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to re-electing George Bush and Dick Cheney."
  11. OK Mike, what's the deal? Your photos of Porq above make it look like a little crag surrounded by like 20' tall trees And the photos in the other thread about Porq, taken from Hardy, make it look a hell of a lot bigger and more alpine than your shots. You sure your photos aren't of a lower subsummit
  12. Headwaters of Van Horlick Creek. 3-4 pitches of nice cracks and then you got about 200m of horizontal: gargoyles, perched blocks, knife edged Potential for selftrundling is high
  13. It is definitely in WA pass, but that seems to be the only thing going for it by the looks of it Some halfmoon cedar creek backside of kanagroo ridge or sumpthin. whatever
