Libtards on Parade: Alcoholism, Corruption, Murder
Fairweather replied to Fairweather's topic in Spray
By status quo, I am referring to regulated capitalism generally, not to any particular party or itinerant president. Is this really hard to understand? As for Obama, well, he hasn't done squat. Nothing. Big dumb ideas, no action. All talk. His foreign policy is red lines and hot air. No one wants to die for Syria--or Crimea. Why not just shut up about red lines? Obama, you're getting your bluff called, like, every fucking day. Shut the fuck up already. Iran on its way to a nuke. Nice job. As above, the one place he tried to affect change, domestically, he failed. And his immigration bs will be shot down in short order. Your guy, champ. Sadly, I'd take GW over this tool you lefty dreamers elected in a heartbeat. Better yet, let's elect a president who has a grasp on economics and believes in the market. Like Elon Musk? -

Politics really aren't much different than they have been for nearly two centuries. Two bad choices? Maybe, but you're the ones agitating for change. The case is yours to make. And you haven't. So far, I see a very, very poorly written healthcare law, built on lies and passed by one vote by a party in Congress that was subsequently thrown out because of it. Face it, lefties have only a loose plan and rarely pay much attention to details. Now moderates, conservatives, and the courts are left to clean up the mess. And this is just one example. -

Exactly. So why do you and yours continue to put so much faith in government solutions? 1. Electric cars 2. Home batteries 3. Space travel. Mr Musk couldn't do any of this shit w/o the capitalist structure we have in place to bring all these resources together. What makes you think the government will do any better with healthcare? Wage controls? Rent controls? Price controls? No doubt you'll point out the role of government research in Mr Musk's fortunes--and you're right. Ain't the status quo a great thing! -

Could be. He's an interesting guy ala Branson, Allen, etc. Still, he's 1% of the 1% of the 1%. You really think his motives are pure? -

Of course he has; he's a capitalist--and Presidents are just politicians. Still, Musk donated to GW's campaign/reelection. Did you write a check too? -

Thank you. And I'd put you right down there with Hillary. And, despite his ineligibility for the office, I'm happy to see that you support Elon Musk in your autosig: Musk is a self-described American exceptionalist and nationalist, describing himself as "nauseatingly pro-American". According to Musk, the United States is "[inarguably] the greatest country that has ever existed on Earth", describing it as "the greatest force for good of any country that's ever been". Musk believes outright that there "would not be democracy in the world if not for the United States", arguing on "three separate occasions in the 20th century where democracy would have fallen with World War 1, World War 2 and the Cold War, if not for the United States" -

Crux, please resume licking Shama's balls immediately. She doesn't like it when her little boys come up for breath. Philonius, as I'm sure your teachers told you, try to stay on task. Shit, even B-Ho has reined in the "everything's Bush's fault" rote. -

Nice sentiments--and I agree to a point. So, Ivan, are you all for dropping those government-required "check the box" identity thangs on forms of all kinds? Is it time to end affirmative action? If not, then isn't claiming you are a member of a group of citizens that have historically faced discrimination, when you are not in fact a member, one of the shitlowliest things you've ever heard of? -

Oh the irony when children of privilege lecture conservatives about fairness--even as they themselves seek additional advantage by checking a box to which they were not entitled. -

Uh, by reading the assorted rants, racist jokes, hypocricy, and commentary of libtards here and elsewhere. And, of course, tired excuses for and defenses of their poor behavior from people like you. -

Um, yea, I think I'll stand by this one. Jim's effort to once again steer the topic toward his religion notwithstanding. Now, if you'll kindly excuse him, he's got to catch a big old jetliner. Yet another conference on ocean expansion and acidification, you see. Caused by Republicans and all them other people. -

Boots up to the shoulder. Ruth Arm and above was 100% coverage. Skied down from the top Friday at sunset. Superb. Then up to top and down again on Sat morning. A bit heavy. No rocks, no cracks. -

What a strawload of shit, Oly. Trying to portray conservatives as "anti-science" is a tired old tard meme and it's sad to see you participating. Again, it's not science that conservatives and moderates view with disdain, rather, it's the people (mostly liberal dupes who wouldn't know a neutrino from an amoeba) who have turned science into a belief system exactly as you decry. Science is a cornerstone of modernity--but it's not a system under which societies ought to consciously organize. Unharnessed by outside forces (the market, for example) it tends to ignore really great things--like humanity and individualism. Things libtards claim to care about--but really don't. In short, my point was that science-types make shitty political commentators--Jim, TTK, on so on. Broadly speaking, they're too specialized to see much of the big picture, IMO. What's more, it's why generalists like Ivan are a whole lot more engaging. -

Nothing that sinister, Oly. Don't know if it's still a program, but as recently as five years ago the UW offered several 200-300 level writing courses for hard science students. This program was, ostensibly at least, a section designed to help these geniuses translate their work such that it would become digestible in the public sphere. In reality, however, it was there to spare the university the growing embarrassment of graduating so many BS (and even MS) students who could not build a proper sentence--or correctly spell common usage words. In any event, I'm just suggesting that the libtard god of science is not a perfect being. Probably just as flawed as the gods of reason and religion. -

they're a classic case-study of conservative vs liberal mind-sets the liberal could give a shit about past convention and makes changes w/o thought - their - they're - why should such distinctions exist? the conservative though sees this variation as heresy needing to be paid heed to - "they're" by the grace of god! if you give in now to such vulgar conventions, the virgins will soon be raped and amerikkka confounded and if you recall, old boy, above my "ss" it says in far-larger letters "fah q" - thus, taken as a whole, the helmet must be a staunchly anti-national socialist meme If language lies at the heart of culture--as it does--then you have an excellent point. Still, I always find it amusing that the science cadre is made up, by and large, of narcissists and kids who can't spell good. Makes me wonder what other deficiencies are lurking in the ether. As for your helmuuut, well, I just looked at your famous photo once again--the one that almost got you a supertaco crowd beatdown--and I just don't see your explanation. Still, I like the way y'all give yourselves so many passes when it comes to the n-word and posing as nazis and shit. Some things just aren't funny. -
