Motor Voter is a registration process whereby a person applying for a driver's license registers to vote at the same time. No proof of citizenship required. Passed by Dems and promoted by liberals. Are you going to answer my question directly? Should non-citizens living in the US be allowed to vote? Try responding directly--and not with a question.
-
Yes. Motor Voter. Fighting appropriate voter ID at every turn and branding it as some form of intimidation. Do you believe non-citizens living in the United States should be allowed to vote?

Are you kidding? He is morally superior to all of us and vastly more intelligent than Mary Lou. Morally superior? No. It is widely recognized by you that you are the moral compass guiding this website, Matt. More intelligent than Maylou? Absolutely.

Maybe if we (Yes, by that I mean George Bush) weren't so busy putting provocative missile batteries in Poland and Czec Republic the Russians wouldn't feel the need to step back up to a war-footing. How's that for role-reversal, J?
-
Ahhh, yes. All the usual radical malcontents circling the wagons around their very own village idiot: Marylou. It's a beautiful thing.

I Climbed Gibraltar Ledges in May of 1987. Just remember that when you get to the "eye bolt" (may be gone now) there is no rappel as some believe--just some easy down stepping. From here, stay up on the higher ledge - even though it looks like it dead ends at a corner up above. This corner is where the route angles into the upper chute - right where you want to be.

I should have kept quiet. I can picture her ditching her mop and cleaning supplies early, racing wildly downtown in a smoke-cloud '73 Subaru, running all out of breath up to her precinct, and pressing her steamy snout up against the locked glass door while looking into the darkened room--tears streaming down her chubby pink cheeks...

I know this might shock and upset some here, but it looks like I might get stuck at work until after the polls close tomorrow night. It all depends on the whims of the employees of a major software corporation based in Redmond, Washington at this point. I am still optimistic that I will get done with work in time, just to upset and irritate folks who think I am commiting a terribly wrong and immoral act. Take solace in the fact that I have crossed parties in many primaries prior to this, if nothing else. It is within my rights to leave work early in order to vote, but I'm not willing to turn down the O/T just to make a point, at this point. It seems I've already made my point. You're not only immoral, but stupid too - at least for someone who claims to be so involved in politics. The primary is FEBRUARY 19th - that's not tomorrow...it's NEXT WEEK. But feel free to mark your "X" on any old piece of toilet paper after you get off work. Un-fucking be-lieveable.

I see you live in Tacoma too. I'll PM you my info. Next to the Olympic Mountains, the Mount Adams/Goat Rocks area is at the top of my mountain-love list. I've climbed several routes on Adams over the years, but I haven't visited the east side before. I hear Avalanche Valley is incredible. Have you read "Tales of a Western Mountaineer" by C E Rusk? Some good Mount Adams stories from the late 19th/early 20th century.

Good for you. You have every right to help select Ron Paul® in the primary based on your ideals, but what little mary-lou-who is talking about is something completely different. She's saying "now that 'we' have chosen our best candidate, let's go contaminate our opponent's selection process!" and then goes on to "proudly" proclaim her vote for Huckabee. I'm very surprised you're more concerned about my expressed indignation than her juvenile antics that poison the process for all.

Ian: Another lefty more concerned with political trickery than truth and ideas! Be sure to sign the guest book.
-
Nice try, Matt. Your admonishment of little mary lou was secondary and weak at best. Your point was to put onus back onto me--and those who share my valid political views. Try reigning in your own--on your own for once.
-
Political parties used to "nominate" their candidates in smoke-filled rooms. Now that average citizens are encouraged to participate you want to again corrupt the process? Your attempts to do so are what is profane.

It would also be fun to break the trip into two days by car camping at/just above Cold Springs with support. I've thought about having my wife drop me off at Muddy Meadows, then meet me at Cold Springs that night, then pick me back up at Muddy Meadows at the end of day two. More time for pictures along the way.

Don't you find it at least a little telling that while I would prefer to see Obama win the Dem nomination - despite the fact that he will be harder for my candidate (McCain) to defeat - little mary lou still thinks it would be more fun to play political games than have a real debate about issues in the general election. Her actions are those of a childish little bitch. As for morality - you continue to exhibit the classic signs of liberal arrogance in your self assessment. Although certainly more patronizing, you are no more moral than either I or KK.
-
But do you think it is morally right for partisans (like Maylou) to corrupt the nominating process--Dem or Rep--of the other party? Only silence from Ms. Lou... Meanwhile, I will forward her name, along with her stated desire here to perjur herself, to my local party chair. Her choice in the primary is public record and failure to uphold her oath is (perhaps?) actionable. Maylou: I encourage you to vote with your party.
-
No, genius, you have to agree not to participate in the other party's nominating process in order to vote. For one election cycle only. Since I was unable to attend the caucuses, it's completely within my rights to vote for anyone from either party in the Primary. De oaf: Allison, as usual you are less than enlightened: http://www.secstate.wa.gov/elections/2008/WAsCaucusesandPrimaries.pdf The "nominating process" includes the primary. It is not limited to the caucuses. Please read and comprehend.
-
Do you understand that by voting for a member of a party you don't support in the primary, you are violating a signed oath? Is that important to you? Please--pick a party in the primary and uphold your oath. And grow up.
-
Apologize? We don't owe anyone an apology. That's the mentality that is going to help the Democrat Party rightly lose this election...along with their anti-free market/pro government socialist ideals.
-
I think the whole Democrat primary is now revealed to be about racism. And Billary is chummin' just as fast as she can scoop.

This is on my list for '08 - as a one day too. I have the specifics on The Gap worked out too. With all the snow we're having it may not be doable until early august. PM me for details or if you want to join forces. A certain other poster here who's name is not Adamsdawg and I are doing this trip fo sho.

Good job. I have two in college--one senior at WWU and one is a freshman at CWU. It's a great feeling knowing they will have all the tools they need to succeed along with a greater understanding of the world around them. Beware though; my oldest left high school with a 4.0 - all AP core classes - and still had "difficulties" her first year at Western.

Look for Hugo Chavez to prop up the FARC with some of those "surplus" Kalashnikov rifles he's been buying. Probably been going on for a couple years already. I read that he's already providing these thugs sanctuary on his side of the C/V border. An act of war.

1) It is the responsibility of parents to feed their children. Not the Federal Government's. 2) Are there really starving children in Berkley?
