    Feminists!

Since when is it the walk of shame? I always called it the stride of pride.
  4. Jim - Let's see some detials on FS funding. (over 30 years or so)
  5. Have two baseball games tonight! Yep electric tuna rocks! Hendrix said of Airplane (something like) a mediocre band with a great bassist. Jack Casady is the bassist in Airplane and Tuna. Jorma's not a shabby player himself.....
  6. Ya Baseballis a great sport! http://www.komotv.com/news/18413159.html
  7. Jorma and Jack will be playing electric at the triple Door 5/20. While it most likely won't be a 70's 4hr show it should be a fun evening!

    for Minx

I always crack up when Nick Cave sings..... You took me back to your place And dressed me up in a deep sea diver's suit You played the patriot, you raised the flag And I stood at full salute Later on we smoked a pipe that struck me dumb And made it impossible to speak As you closed in, in slow motion, Quoting Sappho, in the original Greek
  9. Bring Back Junior...
  10. At least six of the routes recommended here by six different posters I would advise people not to do because I found them so underwhelming if not outright poor. One time I was hyping a route to someone for weeks. They finally climbed it and ended up thinking I was BS’ing them because they thought the route sucked. I guess there is no accounting for taste.
  11. Do you honestly think that I do not think those are the best lines at Index within Layton's definition? I was just being clear that it was your crappy attitude that was being projected not mine.
  12. Hey Mattp - Where did the bold stuff come from? I didn't set the definition. I just offered some of my favs in response to Laytons request. There is a lot of diversity here.
  13. hmmm... Climbed 5.11b/c the last two weekends. One weekend successfully one weekend with hangs. WI 4 - 20+ years It was pretty much one of my first ice routes, so it doesn't seem immoderate. Not sure if I ever climbed a WI5. Grade VI 10 years ago approx. Lots of grade VI routes are moderate. I would say "moderateā€ generally means topping out about 10a/b. ( Weekend Rock series anyone) That said Layton clearly set the bar higher so any why complain when people post routes that conform to his definition.
  14. Well when posting our choices shouldn't we follow the definition as given by Layton in the first post: Single pitch to full scale VII's under 5.11c/d and WI5+
  15. and the answers are.... Godzilla - Sloe Children - to the top (Index) Davis Holland - STP (or Lovin' Arms) (Index) J Gardens - 10% (Index) Hot Line (Yosemite)
  16. jeesh lightweight...Baseball every day since last Monday. My life feels so empty today.......
  17. Oh and Jim...any chance you can show me where Obama demonstrated a new bipartisan way of governing, sponsored a significant piece of legislation or showed leadership during his time in the Senate?
  18. Jim - It'll be great seeing you across the table sharing a beer with a bunch of McCain buttons on. Until then here's a link: Fox News Maybe we could meet during one of these guys' Pub Club! (Don't forget to scroll down!)
  19. The disclosures about Syrian and North Korean cooperation in some ways confirm the president's 2002 axis of evil speech, which posited that Iran, Iraq, and North Korea cooperated in support of terrorism and weapons proliferation. A co-author of that speech, David Frum, when reached for a comment said, "There is now irrefutable public confirmation of North Korean and Syrian nuclear cooperation and suggestive indication of Iranian involvement. It's almost like they formed an axis or something."
  20. Also with regard to "axis/axes" how do you know what word "axes" or "axis" was spoken by the Ambassador? Inquiring minds...... I would like to think axes because it would be a wondeful choice......
  21. Gotta call your common sense into question Bill. Carter issued a statement saying that there was not even a suggestion that he not go. I believe that the State Dept probably did not explicitly ask that he not go but I am certain that they would have conveyed that they thought that a meeting with Hamas would not help the cause of Middle East peace. Certianly as a diplomat Cater should have taken that as a suggestion that he not go. In this case common sense would suggest that Carter is either 1) senile or 2) a liar.
  22. I am not getting one.
