The developed Chilliwack limestone crag is near Airplane Creek mouth. There are 4 routes so far, one 20m, the others ~50m. Grades are in the 11-12 range. Nice rock. Topos in the latest edition (Jan 2003) of the Mike Crapo guide. You can buy a copy at Valhalla Pure Abbotsford, on your way up from Bellingham - it's right at Sumas by the highway.

I think the "granite in that area" comment referred to Chianti Spire not Chilliwack. Hope is where its at for granite bouldering. There are dozens of boulderfields with hundreds of climbed and thousands of unclimbed problems! Chilliwack has LIMESTONE bouldering. Not much though. Only about 20 developed problems, 1 area, in the V2-V5 range. Not much room for more at that area. More areas are coming slowly.

These turn out not to be FRA's either. Mike Kennedy from Lillooet seems to have climbed a couple lines on this side of the mountain in the 70's. The N face was skiied in the early 90's by Kevin Aiken.

BAH! Errors suck. Take Big Chief off. Its a ringer, only 8500'. Someone had misentered it at 9000'. Therefore, the numbers should be 71, 100 and 115. The bivy.com list has been updated. -
here is a picture of wayne's BIG PROJECT large chest suitable for intensive beating...the hair will hide the scars

Bob says there is some good bouldering around Chilliwack. Dru? Bob?

what are the rules for this game? its kind of like hide and seek except one person hides and 100 ppl look for them. and when you find the hiding person, you hide with them. I figured we could send ScottP off to hide and then nobody would look for him!

no see, in BC now they are trying to charge parking fees cause "it works in the States" but a couple of years ago, they tried the same thing (making us payfor the remote backcountry Forest Service campsites), there was widespread lack of compliance, and they ended up stopping it because it cost more than they got out of it. they just decided not to maintain em instead. so now you have to bring your own TP.
