What you wouldn't know Panther (you bastard) is that Battalion spelled with two L's, is a secret code-word for all Hoo-ahs out there. I would let you know what it means but I don't really like you. Now you need to low crawl yourself on down to Benning and take a Ranger refresher course. Take Smoky with you. When you read my messages you better be Koalifying.
  3. There's nothing to tell...however I do have a story about Panther and some "special friends" on a chairlift. So watch it! I'm gonna have to tell JD bout this.
  4. Who gives a flying f*** what Panther says or thinks. He's nothing but a little bitch anyways. I'm glad i finally ran his sorry A** out of the state. Now I just have to work on getting him off the web.

Did they have a private showing for you guys? I'll be at the first showing tomorrow for sure.
  6. I don't know the exact roads but I will give a shot at describing the way to Wilkenson. Near the end of the town there is a Y. To the right takes you to Ipsut. You wanna go left where the old historical school is. You follow this road for a mile or so, until you see an obvious main gravel logging road on the right. You follow this up (watch out for logging trucks roaring down just barely in control) until you come to an intersection. Stay to the left going past a gravel pit. This is only a mile or so from the paved road. You then see a flat cleared out area to your right where they store logs. You can see the crags at the far end of the clearing on a small hill. Keep going on the road until you are near the northeast corner opf the flat log storage area. You can park near a gate here. The the east a little ways from the gate is a trail up to the crags. This is by no means exact but it's how I found itand remember how to get to it.
  7. Oh yea.. worse still....I went climbing with the original Smoky McPot.
  8. I went climbing with panther one time...nuff' said.
  9. I use a I-tent and it works well for me. It is light and takes up little space in a pack. I have had no problems with condensation here in the PNW. I have sat out some pretty nasty thunder/lightning/wind storms with it on Rainier and it held up no problemo. I have used a Stephenson's Warmlite 2R also. It is lighter than the Bibler. It also collected a lot more condensation up in cold Alaska weather than the Bibler. Of course it's also not made of "breathable" material. If you want light weight though they are the way to go.
  10. I'm hurt that you wouldn't give me first shot at Smoky...what up wit dat! OK I guess i will have to settle for Panther.
  11. 3/75 just got back to Benning from a trip downrange. I'm surprised Columbus wasn't burned to the ground. Maybe the Regt. will get another shot at Somalia in the future after the Afghan action has died down.

Ranger I think you should be smoked for climbing at a gym. Why pay for it when you can just go over to group. They still hve that climbing wall over at the gym across the airfield that MikeA used to climb at?
  14. No doubt about it....Gander Mountain is real. I have to thank Jeff Tiegs (who is probably zapping bad guys in Afghanistan now)for introducing us all to this fine equipment manufacturer. I only hope that Jeff has his GM bag with him now.

    Bonzo

Well I don't know why Bonzo was booted if Panther is still around. I did receice confirmation on Sat. though that Bonzo is not Cpt. Caveman.
  16. When I was in the service we had Land Rovers with 4 cylinder diesel engines that were supercharged. Those would work nicely in a Toy pick-up.
  17. Yep...so do the Somalis. Almost every country has Toy trucks or Landcruisers (the older FJ-40 style not these newer soccer-mom mobiles)cause they can run them into the ground with virtually no maintenance.
  18. Toyota's rule!!! I think I may trade my Escalante in for a Toy even though it is the most powerful SUV on the market. That Toy Tundra gets 18-20 M.P.H. on the highway with the V8. Plus it's a Toy so you know you are gonna get at least 200k out of it before you have to really do anything major.
  19. Oh yea..back to the topic on slideshows. Mike Gauthier gave an excellent show on Sat. for the AAC at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. He gave a lot of interesting facts about how RMI has monopolized the guiding business on Rainier. If you get a chance to go to one of his shows I'd recommend it....he's talked at TNF and REI too.
  20. Oh oh...we got Backcountry wound up on a topic he is da man at...calm down BC.
  21. Some of the Land Rover (or maybe it was Range Rover) models have an air suspension. It allows you to lower and raise the vehicle at the push of a button. I can't believe the Escalante doesn't have that.
  22. I fight at night....so all the fresh snow will be chewed up before you even wake up.
  23. Do I get any points for spending a lot of time with keepers of the mullet? I once had a truck with seven inches of lift and Super Swampers, but unfortunately the military didn't let me grow my mullet out much then.
  24. MtnRgr I am former Bco 2/75 and Panther was never in as far as I know...I think he had some friends who were legs though. So you make the choice. I don't know why Panther says there is no animosity between us...I have never met him but I hate the f**cker! I am well aware of sims. I have had the bruises. I have the M-4 to use but I don't have access to the 9mm barrels or rounds....how bout' you? I have the overwhites too...so I'm ready to go.
  25. I'm gonna plant large bags of weed around the slopes...Cpt. will smell those and he will be out of action. As for Panther..I'll just look at you mean and watch you run away with your tail between your legs.
