wrench Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 I ran a search on the forums and found some old discussions wrt split boards, so forgive me if you are bored of this topic, but I have a little twist on it... has anyone ever built their own custom split board? Or does anyone know where I can find info on building my own split board? I.e. taking an old board, sawing it in half, and attaching a Voile split board kit. I found an article in Couloir magazine that describes the procedure, but it's a little brief, so if possible I'd like a little more detailed info/tales of personal experience (if there are any out there). Thanks! Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 One of the snowboarding mags ran an article on that, but it was years ago. Might try googling for it, or seeing if either Transworld or Snowboarder has archived articles. Quote
Toast Posted January 21, 2003 Posted January 21, 2003 I know I've seen good instruction on how to do this on the net. Do a Google search and you'll find it. Also, ping Servio Verdina. He took a jigsaw to his Burton and mounted Voile gear on it. He did a pretty sweet job on it. Quote
wrench Posted January 21, 2003 Author Posted January 21, 2003 Thanks. For anyone interested, here is the article in couloir mag -- it's pretty good. Also, the split kit itself probably comes with pretty detailed instructions: http://www.couloirmag.com/gear/reviews/snowboard/split_a_board.htm Quote
