Ben Beckerich Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Hola Anybody got a lead on where I could snag me a big ol' panograph or pano-esque print of the Fairweather sub-range? Quote
Damo Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 You seen this? http://www.nps.gov/glba/planyourvisit/loader.cfm?csModule=security/getfile&PageID=1097533 Quote
Ben Beckerich Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 Yess.... pretty damn close to perfect. Now how to go about a print That's also an extremely useful document - never even knew it existed! How up to date do you think it is? Thanks man Quote
diepj Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Now how to go about a print How big of a print? It looks like the doc is only 8.5x11 and many of the pics aren't full page size to begin with. If you blow it up too much it might not look good anyway. I'm guessing you could crop and try an 11x17 to begin with. Quote

ScaredSilly Posted February 14, 2016 Posted February 14, 2016 Great history summation. But I wonder if Barbara Washburn ever realized Brad climbed Mt. Bertha with a Martha Washburn. Especially, given it was their honeymoon ??? Quote
Damo Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 How up to date? Without checking the AAJs I can only consult the pretty unreliable top of my head: - an attempt at Orville that did not get far - maybe an ascent of Fairweather, via the Carpé(?) recently? - Paul Knott went in for another try at Crillon NR, and think maybe climbed or tried something else nearby? Ben Beckerich Posted February 18, 2016 Author Posted February 18, 2016 Jeez... just not a whole hell of a lot of recent climbing up there. Routes too easy? steep snow and ridge scrambles aren't exciting enough anymore? Quote
