How big of a print? It looks like the doc is only 8.5x11 and many of the pics aren't full page size to begin with. If you blow it up too much it might not look good anyway. I'm guessing you could crop and try an 11x17 to begin with.

I'd definitely need to go to the source - the photographer, or whoever has the rights (NPS)... looking for like 6' wide, high-res

Great history summation. But I wonder if Barbara Washburn ever realized Brad climbed Mt. Bertha with a Martha Washburn. Especially, given it was their honeymoon ???

How up to date?

Without checking the AAJs I can only consult the pretty unreliable top of my head:

- an attempt at Orville that did not get far

- maybe an ascent of Fairweather, via the Carpé(?) recently?

- Paul Knott went in for another try at Crillon NR, and think maybe climbed or tried something else nearby?

Jeez... just not a whole hell of a lot of recent climbing up there.

 

Routes too easy? steep snow and ridge scrambles aren't exciting enough anymore?
