E-rock Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 Has anyone been out making turns? I haven't been out since the beginning of the month and I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever snow again. My partner and I keep making plans and cancelling because it never snows and we're spoiled Wasatch snobs. Is anything going into a corn cycle? Is the snowpack deep enough to ski in the mid-elevation trees or are we still limited to the alpine? I suppose I should get out and look around myself but I'm suffering from severe lack of motivation. Quote
glen Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 E- some of the stuff up around Chair Peak looked passable for yo-yoing. Certainly better than sitting in your office. Still a wee bit crusty, but a couple more days like sunday and it'll be bona-fide. BTW- where the hell did you come up with that Bio? You've been out in the Avawatz toooooo long. Quote
Dru Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 THere's 4-6 inches of either, powder, or surface hoar, i dunno which, up around Manning park. Or, there was on Saturday, before the latest precip. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 dude, stop being such a snob and go skiing for crying out loud!!! Quote
iain Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 crystal sucks and you know it, just ask alpinek BTW the corn skiing on Hood is spectacular right now. Quote
JoshK Posted January 20, 2003 Posted January 20, 2003 Had great conditions for skiing friday. Anybody who is paying to ride lifts should have their head checked, however. I have a seasons pass and still didn't ride the lifts, this is great weather to go touring and explore. Quote
