AlpineK Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Trip: Arrowhead - NW Face Date: 12/19/2015 Trip Report: Despite the El Nino forecast this winter is starting out better than all of last year. While snowpack is low, we didn't even consider skiing here last year. Creek crossing fun [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/3-W-DSC02818.jpg[/img] We stuck to the logging road through the first cut and the going was slightly nasty in the second cut [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/4-W-DSC02819.jpg[/img] smooth sailing above the second cut [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/5-W-DSC02820.jpg[/img] Chiwaukum Range [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/7-W-DSC02822.jpg[/img] Jim Hill [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/8-W-DSC02823.jpg[/img] Powder [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/10-W-DSC02825.jpg[/img] [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/11-W-DSC02826.jpg[/img] [img:center]http://cascadeclimbers.com/plab/data/3069/medium/13-W-DSC02828.jpg[/img] Approach Notes: More snow in the lower logging cuts will add to fun skiing, but the upper part of the mountain is great now.
