num1mc Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 The name seems familar https://digital.lib.washington.edu/researchworks/bitstream/handle/1773/22832/Rybolt_washington_0250O_11430.pdf?sequence=1 Quote
Off_White Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 That's a lot of words, but its a pretty good thesis. I'm more of an Ira Spring guy than a Harvey Manning one, I've downloaded and saved a copy for future reading. Thanks for the link. As far as the author goes, if you know the name and the avatar that goes with it, it would only be polite to keep it to yourself, letting the author own up should they choose. Quote
JasonG Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Thanks for the link, I saved a copy for myself as well. From the little I skimmed, it seems interesting and well written. I'm certainly on the side of Ira ("Saint Ira" as old Harvey sneered) in this age old debate. There is no shortage of places to go thrash oneself in the Cascades without a hint of a road or trail. I would much rather we preserve/restore the road and trail system that we are losing slowly on an annual basis. We have the means as a nation, but not the will it seems. Quote
mattp Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 There's a lot of great history in that paper! My hats off to the author and thanx for linking it here! Quote
