layton Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Ok, I always forget this and just want to double check with y'all. If joining two ropes with a knot, you want the knot/pull rope coming out of the bottom of the anchor to prevent pinching, right? Quote
ivan Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 thas' what i do, brudder, though my huge phat ass, when using this technique w/ a skinny 2nd rope, usually ends up in the knot migrating several feet towards me early in the rap Quote
layton Posted September 30, 2013 Author Posted September 30, 2013 Therein lies the rub. Â I remember your fat ass almost breaking my anchor in Beacon Rock Quote
ivan Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 who wants to die all old n' fat? Â the knot migrating stops being an issue as soon as you go over an edge and it's yet to kill me - certainly worth paying attention to though of course, and when the first rapper goes, the second can squeeze the strands together to prevent it Quote
