jeb013 Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Can anyone suggest some reference materials for this area. Looking for topo's, route/approach descriptions, you know the usual stuff. Current conditions if anyone has been up there lately wouldn't hurt either, I'm guessing it's dried out and loose on the approach this time of year. Thank you in advance Jeb Quote
ivan Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 i saw the supertaco washington pass guide for the first time this past week and thought it was pretty sweet there's no snow in the gully leading up to the liberty bell/beckey rte currently, and only a little bit at the base of the wall on the liberty crack side Quote
jeb013 Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Thanks Ivan, Nice write up on liberty crack, that's what got me looking at this area. Although that route might be a little out of my skill set I would love to take a run at the beckey route and while there might as well make the short jaunt to concord and give it a go also. Jeb Quote
ivan Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 enjoy the miserable hike up all that goddamn scree! Quote
KaskadskyjKozak Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 enjoy the miserable hike up all that goddamn scree! it's not that bad! I find it's better up high to walk right along the wall on climber's right (Concord Tower) to avoid the loose crap that is the worst in the final couple hundred feet. Quote
CaleHoopes Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 I agree with Kaskadsky... Climbers right keeps you sort of on solid ground. Lib Bell Becky rocks! :-) Quote
jeb013 Posted July 30, 2013 Author Posted July 30, 2013 Stay to the right, enjoy the hike, and lib bell is made of rocks (that fall down). Got it! Seriously though folks, thanks for the tips. Jeb Quote
