wfinley
In one season I successfully wore my Salewa Rapace boots down to a smooth sole. Anyone have any luck with resoling lightweight boots such as these? In the past I had a pair of Trangos resoled only to find that the footbed was so packed out that I was unable to wear them without pain so I'm wondering if it's worth it (my feet are pretty sensitive). genepires
wouldn't new footbeds negate the packed footbeds and therefore not be an issue with the resole?
wfinley
That's what I'm wondering. Is the padding built into the boot or is it just the footbed?
genepires
good question. My mountaineering boots are just rock hard material under the footbeds. But maybe the lighter weight boots have cushions built in like running shoes. Do you think it would pack out in one season? seems like a short life span. good luck and glad to see that you are getting over that horrible foot accident. DPS
I was curious so I took a look at my Scarpa Charmoz boots which are very similar to La Sportiva Trangos. Under the removable insole is a cushioned midsole.
