sexual_chocolate Posted December 10, 2002 Posted December 10, 2002 The banter seems non-stop today. I even had things I needed to do today, but all I'm doing is posting. Will today be a record day? And will Smith be in climbing shape this weekend? Quote
Dr_Flash_Amazing Posted December 10, 2002 Posted December 10, 2002 Depends on your tolerance level for coldness and wetness. Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 10, 2002 Posted December 10, 2002 Hey, I just bought a belay jacket..I'm going to be warm. Besides, everybody knows that the weather forecast is a piece of shit. They're always wrong. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 smith is always in shape. what's a little water to ya? Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 11, 2002 Author Posted December 11, 2002 How would you define "inspired madness"? Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 It DOESN'T RAIN at smith. Not in the summer, not in spring, not in winter. EVER. (In my experience) Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 Mark Twight. Steve House. Alex Lowe. Barry Blanchard. Will Gadd. Scott Semple. Korn. System of a Down. Nuff said. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 11, 2002 Author Posted December 11, 2002 Those are examples, not definitions. Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 In MATH 307 at UW, examples ARE definitions. Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 OK, how about people who are extremely good at what they do, bordering on insanity or at least being fucked-up. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 11, 2002 Author Posted December 11, 2002 Hey, are you calling us "math 307" here? Hey let's not get offensive, mr. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 How would you define "inspired madness"? forget defining it; how about finding it? Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 I was referring to my class, genius. Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 To find it, read Kiss or Kill. Then read Extreme Alpinism. Then train till you puke (literally) daily. Then go try to kill yourself in the mountains. The other option is to become depressed, angry, suicidal, and write good music. After you make several million dollars, kill yourself. Quote
eric8 Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 korn sucks thought i would let you know Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 11, 2002 Author Posted December 11, 2002 Yes dear, that was quite obvious. Perhaps my humor wasn't. Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted December 11, 2002 Author Posted December 11, 2002 I think you've gotten overly affected by the romantic notions of "inspired madness", IMO. Just don't kill yourself needlessly. Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 Hey, Eric, I knew you would say that. Then again, so do we. Maybe you're too old and crotchety to appreciate them. Hah! Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 Hey, you asked. I wanna stay alive, for now. Sure, finals are next week, but I haven't climbed any 13s yet. Quote

thelawgoddess Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 i get the inspired part. and i get the mad part. i just have trouble letting them flow together ... Quote
bolt_clipper Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 Yeah, me too. Maybe thats why I still suck. Quote
eric8 Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 i get it, but i still suck. Your just so inspired that you are mad. I know that is just rewording it. But here is an example, If i were truly mad and inspired instead of studing for finals and wasting time here i would be out climbing. But then if i were truly inspired and mad i won't be in school cause i would climb all the time. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted December 11, 2002 Posted December 11, 2002 when i went to law school i basically spent all of my time sailing. never went to class. didn't study for finals until the night before. just went sailing. school's a good way to support the madness. too bad i'm not in school anymore!!!
