WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Doesn't really mean what it used to anymore, does it? I thought this was pretty entertaining. I'd have liked to see him fiddle some tricams into some of those pockets, but I suppose it is a wee bit steep for that kind of shenanigans...

How come most people do not wear helmets when sport climbing? But do when trad climbing?

Overhanging rock is much safer for a 5.13 climber than slabby loose 5.6 for average climbers with or without a helmet. Bolts or trad, most accidents don't happen with climbers like Arnaud.

What comes to mind for me was Earl Wiggins doing Supercrack at Indian with hexes. It looks to me like Arnaud had pretty good placements (the thread was suspect) with cams but a splitter in the early days was pretty dicey.

I think MT took WA weather, it's been dark and grey overhere for the last week. I hope opening day went smoothly!
