I would say, if you are by yourself go up to Rainier/Paradise past Pan Point. If you get injured you'll be around other people for help.

Anyone been up to the Source Lake, Tooth, Chair Peak area lately?

If there is enough snow, you might be able to find a slope with an okay run out up the valley from the Alpental parking lot. Pretty iffy after all the rain lately.( remember that area requires a parking pass)

If you don't care about esthetics, and want something that is very close to a road, the Baker ski area is pretty ideal during the summertime. Specifically the area around Heather Meadows/Table Mtn., just outside the ski area boundary. A bit of a haul from Seattle, but probably no farther than Paradise, and has better slopes to practice on.

Actually, us Bushwhackers did a couple classes up at Paradise.... we found a GREAT PLACE right up at Alta Vista. Seriously, less than a half mile from the parking lot at Paradise and we had some great conditions. This was such a great place. There was a lot of area there - just watch out, RMI, AAI & IMG use that area for all sorts of climb school stuff.... so you'll have to choose a spot - get there early and it will go great.
