Gregory.S. Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I am 6'3, 220 pounds and I cannot seem to find a harness that works right. I bought the Alpine BOD harness from REI in XL figuring it would have to fit. I can get the strap to go around my waist and into the buckle but only about an inch makes it through (obviously not safe). Does any body have any recommendations? Quote
yellowlab03 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 I got no help for you, but am glad to hear of someone in grown up sizes like me. I thought I was the only one @ 5'11" and 205. Quote
Gregory.S. Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 Yeah it kind of sucks. Actually I can get 4 inches around the waist through but it just feels like it doesnt fit right. Quote
Dane Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Hey guys, not the perfect fit but certainly useable in the 6" 220# range, Petzl HIRUNDOS and ADJAMA. I did a lot of climbing at that weight or more in those same harnesses. I used both in a Large. 190# or so now thanks to a crash chemo diet. Which I don't recommend. Have to say my HIRUNDOS does fit better today though. Not enough better to buy a med but close Quote
recess Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Hey Gregory, Check out the Petzl Corax Size 2, I work at a climbing shop and I can get this one to fit pretty well on larger people Quote
