There was a BOEALPS team out that way last weekend and they said they startd about a half hour below where NF-2419 and NF-2464 merge on Google maps, about 2000 ft. They didn't have flotation and it was pretty slow going up the road. They were able to call the ranger station and get a road conditions update before they went. Just a heads up, there will be another team up there doing snow camping for the Basic Climbing Class.

I was at Ellinor yesterday and the road to the lower trailhead is completely clear (although full of potholes). You cannot drive to the upper trailhead yet.

The road is clear 0.2mi beyond the lower TH, just short of hogback trail to the upper parking area. Snow on the trail begins near the large rock above the junction with lower trail.
