Fairweather Posted December 17, 2011 Author Posted December 17, 2011 We don't have until the next generation to act on climate change. Anyway, aren't you the type who spouts his mouth off about "librul social engineering" and you want to engage in population control now? Unlike your twisted version, mine isn't compulsory. Quote
j_b Posted December 17, 2011 Posted December 17, 2011 because we all know there is nothing compulsory about making one's economic condition the determinant of someone's ability to choose... just ask the ~50% of Americans in/near poverty level how voluntarily they make the choices they do. Quote
E-rock Posted December 18, 2011 Posted December 18, 2011 Hey, j_bot, what's the carbon footprint of all that hot air you generate? Quote

Yeah, I bet you have lots of conversations with folks in that "~50%"... Quote
akhalteke Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 According to my random definition of what poverty means, 99.687% on the U.S. is impoverished. This relative poverty is getting out of control. Perhaps if 88.3945% of those who are "impoverished" simply used their i-Pad's to find jobs instead of reading that smarmy economist rag, they could pull themselves up by their bootstraps and ascend! The census bureau calls it 13ish%. I am sure that to you, anyone within $100,000/year of the poverty line is close enough to call "near poverty level;" at least for argument's sake. Quote
