tvashtarkatena Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) First come, first serve. One pack, two sleeping bags, two foam pads, a sweater with matching OR hat, two headbands, one pot, one fuel canister, and one tent. Vintage 80s cheap, slightly compressed, might need a wash. billcoe Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Thanks for sharing that Pat, you think someone dropped a pack in a crevasse 30 years back and it's just popping out now? Quote
selkirk Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 I used to have that same pack. I think I picked mine up in 97', so it can't be anymore than 15 yrs old. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 (edited) Thanks for sharing that Pat, you think someone dropped a pack in a crevasse 30 years back and it's just popping out now? Oh, it definitely took a ride in one. The tent poles were in convenient six inch pieces. Curiously uniform lengths, actually. Our guess? Somebody at Sherman didn't stake the tent down quite enough... I once ran into a group coming down from Muir that was convinced someone had five fingered their tent full of gear. "Is it yellow?" I asked. "Yeah!" "Well, I've got good news and bad news..." It was laying on its side 2000 feet up on the Nisqually. Edited August 19, 2011 by tvashtarkatena Quote
