mtnhippy Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Everywhere. The Green Lakes were still 95% frozen over. The basin seemed like a microwave oven. Lots of sun cups in the open areas. They may be melted out by now but under the trees, there was 5-10 feet of snow. Quote

keep_it_real Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 If you're taking the NE ridge you don't need crampons and an ice axe. The ridge is clear of snow as well as the traverse underneath the summit. Quote
