Where to stay in the Methow Valley?

I'm wondering if anybody has any advice on where to stay (cheap) in the Methow in wintertime. Do you have a favorite campground that stays open all year? Thank you!

Sun Mountain Lodge cabins.

The cheapest hands down is the Idle a While Motel or the Blue Spruce Motel in Twisp. Do not expect much at either place except for a cheap place to stay.

 

Best Western in Winthrop is reasonable, as is the Mt. Gardner Inn. I think the Rolling Huts in Mazama are pretty reasonable if you can deal with walking to the toilet at night.

 

If you have a large group, try Timberline Meadows Cabins In Mazama or perhaps some of the cabins the Mazama Country Inn offers.

 

If you coming between New Years and MLK weekend, you can likely wheel and deal on pricing.

Thanks for the info, will look into these. Do you know anything about campgrounds? I'm having a hard time figuring out which (if any) are open in the winter...

You can probably dig in at the Early Winters Campground, but I wouldn't find it to be too much fun.

Try the KOA campground on HWY 20, just as you enter Winthrop. There is also a CG at Twin Lakes, not sure if they are open in the Winter.

Mazama Country Inn is nice. Also, check out Lost River Resort for something cheaper?
