Mt. Hood Climbing Partner in November

Hello,

I'm looking for a partner to climb Mt. Hood this November, sometime between Nov. 13 and Nov. 18. The mountain was really important to my uncle, and it is my goal to climb it this year.

Standard South Side route. I have some alpine experience in Colorado, and a little in New Zealand. I have no experience in Pacific NW climbing.

So if you are looking for a casual ascent of the South Side and wouldn't mind sharing the experience with me, please let me know!

My friend and I might be hitting up Hood around those days. You are welcome to come with us if you would like. Standard south route. Hopefully conditions will permit.

I would strongly urge you to shoot for Hood at a later date. The conditions up on Hood in November are normally bad. I would try it later in the year, or even next March, April, May when the conditions allow for successful summits on Hood.

Gotta agree with Asthma. 35 years since I first climbed it, November remains the only month of the year I haven't been to the top of Mount Hood.

devan- I'm planning on flying into Portland on the 12th. What did you have in mind? I know weather looks rough, but if it works out I'd like to have some potential plans.
