alpaulne Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I am trying to find some light alpine / ice climbing boots for under 150.00 bones. I wear a size 10.5 US shoe. Quote

neurostar Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) Maybe a tad big, but I have a pair of size 45 Sportiva Nepals for sale.. They're the old style and used, but I'm just looking to get rid of them.. $85 incl shipping? http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/934446/FS_Sportiva_Nepal_Extreme_Size Edited October 14, 2010 by neurostar Quote
summitchaserCJB Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 (edited) linky The Inverno wouldn't be considered a light alpine boot would it? also I have the Millet Radikal Rock boot and it works pretty well so far. Haven't fully tested it. Edited October 14, 2010 by summitchaserCJB Quote
Jon H Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 I have an appropriate pair for $99 right here: http://cascadeclimbers.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/981682/FS_FT_Cheap_Boots_Gloves_Screa#Post981682 On an unrelated note, the Millet Radikal linked above has no front welt - you probably don't want that for ice. You're forced to use less precise strap-on crampons instead of step ins. Quote
Gunkiemike Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Check out PeterZ's ad for the Salomons. IME upsizing by half a size is just right for cold weather boots (I have 2 pair of these same boots - great for ice and steep snow) $75 is a great price too. Quote
