Rock Fall/ Thin Fingers

Climbed at Index yesterday. Some decent size rock fall activity taking place these days over by Thin Fingers, Tatoosh, and Walter B.

We heard it, too, yesterday. We were on Princely at the time(6pm-ish). Sounded like the rest of Godzilla fell down.

There's also a block that looked ready to go above the hand crack part of Heart of Country. It's got a jug that looks like everyone and there mom grabs (or used to) - it moved when I touched it. It's about 15' up from the big ledge, where the short handcrack ends.

 

Didn't feel safe trundling it down last time I was there, but would be fun - so heads up.

you might wanna search for a maintenance anchor, you never know when JH and BC are gonna get hall passes to leave the state

The annual freezing and expansion has always created unnerving rock fall at Index, especially at The Country, bummer.

That loose block on HoTC has been there for a long time. It definetly moves but doesn't seem to want to go anywhere.
