Fairweather Posted June 27, 2010 Posted June 27, 2010 Trip: Lane Peak - The Zipper Date: 6/26/2010 Trip Report: Pope, Raindawg, and I climbed this route today. Still in condition, but the moat beneath the chock stone is deep and wide and must be passed on rock to climber's right. Firm cramponing in the morning. The summit gully is bare rock and the views from the top were nice. Gear Notes: Crampons, ice axes, slings, and a picket. Quote
TMO Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 Excellent! Thanks for the update, I plan on heading up there soon. Quote
ckotke Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 It was nice climbing with you guys up there that day. Sorry if we were crowding into you a bit..... Great day though, eh? Quote
Fairweather Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 Nice to meet you all too! I've got a couple of good pictures of you guys coming up. PM me if you're interested. Did any of you get a picture of that critter that was crossing the basin to the south? Quote
TMO Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Just climbed The Zipper this morning.... the latest in the season I've ever done it. And, yes, sadly it is more bushwack and rock bands than snow now Still a fun outing regardless. Quote
