rhizome Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Hey folks, I'm considering buying a harness for alpine climbing, and the issue is I have a 40-41" waist. The issue seems to be that very few harnesses seem to fit this size waist while still having a comfortable amount of belt webbing left after doubling through the buckle. The Arc'teryx A300a says it goes to 42" but it's also $145. Has anyone my size found a workable product? Thanks, Sean Quote

rbw1966 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 Fish has been sold out of harnesses for a while now. Quote
112 Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I have an Arc'teryx (Targa I think) harness from a couple years ago. I liked the model so much I bought a replacement. I thought I fit an XL (38 inch waist), but I didn't (harness was too big). My original harness was an L not an XL. So, the XL has only been worn once for 6 hours. Stored in dry shade since. There is nothing wrong with it. Like new condition. It is yours (free) if you want it. Local pick-up or you pay shipping... Quote
Vickster Posted May 18, 2010 Posted May 18, 2010 The REI Alpine bod goes pretty big. I got huge thighs and a 38" waist Quote
