Pilchuck71 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Right on Bryan! Looks like some good stuff. Smedley was on that side of the hills this past weekend (in the canyon). I on the other hand am on Baby watch...Megan is due anytime. My trips are limited right now to no more than an hour from home and within cell service. Quote
benmurphy Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 Nice man, I'm sure you're excited! What was Smedley gettin' on? We'll hafta get out to Spring/D-Town when you got free reign again...we could probably hit eerie in the meantime if it ever stops raining! Quote
Riley81 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 It never Rains at Erie. That's why people go there. Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Even when it rains there is stuff to do at Erie. My last TR was from a rainy day at Erie. I thought it was funny that I always say it never rains there and as I drove out that Saturday to meet my buddies under broken clouds in Bellingham, I took the turn onto 20 and was then douched with rain of near biblical proprtions. Pilchuck71 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) I said, it never rains at Erie It's on like donkey kong - Why would you perpetuate such lies and trick people into driving all the way out there and crowd the crags? It rains there constantly! Edited April 27, 2010 by Pilchuck71 Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 It rains at Erie, but the rain is ticks. Yup! Quote
mountainsloth Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 ben your TR read almost exactly like my last two trips out to l-town i.e. the same routes. good stuff! Quote
Pilchuck71 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Yup, very excited! I think Smed was over with the Skagit Alpine Club. If I know him the only thing he was getting on was a bottle of beer. I know they did some top rope stuff but not exactly sure where. The class did most of their climbing at Peshastin and partying at Icicle. Quote
Riley81 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 You're right. It is constantly raining there. and the rain just perpetuates more ticks. Huge ones, and the more it rains the bigger they get. MAN THATS A BIG F'ING TICK! Quote
