Lambone Posted October 24, 2001 Posted October 24, 2001 The new gym opens tommorow, in Bremerton! Quote
LUCKY Posted October 31, 2001 Posted October 31, 2001 Move it to Tocoma. Seattle is just as close as Bremerton so it must be a bigger Gym to make us want to come right ????The southenders have been wanting a gym in Tocoma for years MOVE IT. Quote
Pencil_Pusher Posted October 31, 2001 Posted October 31, 2001 I second that, put a VW down south for the masses. Quote
Lambone Posted October 31, 2001 Author Posted October 31, 2001 It's open, with limited hours. It tops out about 10 ft taller than Seattle, but there is less wall space overall. The walls have lots of cool aretes, corners, cracks, and other features. The bouldering area KICKS ASS! They are going to try and set all the routes with color coded holds...No Tape! BTW-It is usualy way closer to Tacoma than the Seattle gym (depending on traffic back ups). Also, the owner of VW is well aware of the demand for a gym down south. My assumption is that since the logistics of opening a large gym are extremly complicated, Bremerton must have had less hoops to jump through (just my own speculation). Mabye Tacoma is next?????? Dan_Larson Posted November 18, 2001 Posted November 18, 2001 Hey Lambert are there going to be some strong talking wimpy looking coffee sippers like yourself working there?I figure if you can do it Anybody can. What a big mouthed loser Quote
Lambone Posted November 18, 2001 Author Posted November 18, 2001 Keep fishin' Dan... Your dull insults do not bother me. In fact, I need not waste my time trying to make you look like a total lame ass, you're doing a great job on your own. Keep up the good work. This is the Climbing Gym Forum, I provided some info on a new gym in the area. I don't realy know any of the new employees in Bremerton, but they all seem super nice. Yeah, I like coffee Who doesn't? David_Parker Posted November 21, 2001 Posted November 21, 2001 To anyone who wants to try the gym in Bremerton: I have only been to a gym once in my life but was thinking of trying it for a while. If you want to try the gym in Bremerton, you can park downtown, ride the ferry to Bainbridge and I'll pick you up. It takes about 35-45 minutes to drive to Bremerton from here. We climb then I bring you back. We could even do a Tuesday night pub-club on this side for a change! Quote
climberbro16 Posted November 21, 2001 Posted November 21, 2001 WHent to the gym Saturday for the first time. It was nice to go to something. Quote
