There was hardly any snow until midway up the switchbacks to colchuck lake, and even then, the snow was inconsistent at best. My guess is you're fine. Bug Posted November 19, 2008 Share Posted November 19, 2008 I'm going in to Colchuck lake. I'll be exploring the boulder field in the basin above the pond by Colchuck lake. The boulders are huge and stacked three high in places. A guy went missing up by Colchuck a few years ago and I would just like to eliminate that boulder field as a possibility.
