ryanhuetter Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Got a question that my guidebook (old Clint Cummins) can't really answer. I am looking for a nice cruiser aid line out at Index with minimal, easy free climbing. Something to dial in solo skills, around 3-4 pitches or more. C1 on finger cracks is fine, but something trickier would be preferred. Thanks for your input! Quote
OlympicMtnBoy Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Town Crier, Green Dragon, probably lots more. Quote
tomtom Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 LTW: p1&2 City Park + Sloe Children p1-3 Narrow Arrow Direct p1-2 Narrow Arrow Overhang  UTW: Green DragOn is the best. Do the aid start on the right, not the Davis Holland start. With 60 m ropes, you can combine 2&3 and 4&5. p6 is a free climb and painful to haul. Once you get your systems dialed in, it's an easy day trip. Quote
Peter_Puget Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Try Lions, Tigers and Bears and the last pitch of Wilman's. That way you won't have to deal with other climbers. Quote
Blake Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Weather looks dry and sunny for the weekend, might be considerate to stick to the routes without free climbers. Quote
tomtom Posted April 9, 2008 Posted April 9, 2008 Are aid climbers allowed to use the parking lot, or do we have to hike the road? Quote
fenderfour Posted April 10, 2008 Posted April 10, 2008 Thou shalt make way for the free climbers. Their needs take precedence. Quote
