hendo Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Has anyone tried or have any information on Carhartt soft shells? You can find them for $100 and they look like decent quality without the extra BS you find on other brands' jackets. See their site: http://www.carhartt.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10101&storeId=10051&productId=96533&langId=-1&categoryId=15607 Just looking for opinions. Thx Quote
hendo Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Actually not. I have never posted before, though have been registered close to a year. I don't appreciate the welcome so far though. Let me also say that I do not work in the outdoor industry, or for Carhartt and simply want some opinions on the friekin jacket. Quote
letsroll Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 The other reason you my not have had any reply's is that one one has used it. Quote
jon Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Check out the new Montbell soft-shells, awesome design and the price can't be beat. I've had one for about a month and I'm really happy with it so far. Pro Mountain Sports has them in stock. Quote
hendo Posted January 17, 2008 Author Posted January 17, 2008 Fair enough. Thanks. It looks like they may be new because no site has customer reviews posted. They are selling them on backcountry.com now and other similar sites and it peaked my interest since i'm in the market for a new softshell. It really wasn't a troll question. Quote
tvashtarkatena Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Ignore Hugh. He sprays on all forums inappropriately. The mods have warned him about it, but he keeps pushing the line anyway. Another data point: I love me LoweAlpine softshell, and it was berry cheep. Make sure you try em on, all the brands fit very differently. Quote
Hugh Conway Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Another data point: I love me LoweAlpine softshell, and it was berry cheep. I didn't know Lowe did XXXXL Patagonia, Cloudveil make decent stuff. Non-climbing stuff is traditionally not cute well for climbing. Quote
