i_like_sun Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Is a bad idea just after exercise. Got home from riding my bike, drank a glass of wine, and died. Really died! Quote
builder206 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Well, whatever else is going on I know that immediately after exertion the cells crave nutrition, so feeding them alcohol's empty calories can't be helpful. Your crash probably had something to do with the depressive effect of alcohol, though. Dilating vessels that were constricted, something like that. Why drink red wine? Just seemed to be the thing to do at the time? Quote
i_like_sun Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 It wasn't really a "crash", more like "massive drunken-ness". My fam did thanksgiving dinner tonight instead of Thursday, so I planned to come in after shredding and chao down! When I got home the Turkey wasn't quite ready, so I just chugged two and half glasses of wine to "chill" the hunger pangs! Being drunk is so much fun! Quote
dmuja Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Although my sterno days are in the past, I have found that a good beer is much better for recovery than red wine. Quote
Dechristo Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Phonetically, I thought this thread was about Crux or Prole. Quote
